Taekwondo participation overview
Around 10,800 women take part in taekwondo at least once a week, making it the 27th most popular participation sport for women.
Male participation is not much higher than women’s – around 14,400 men take part weekly.
There has been no significant change in female participation in taekwondo participation in the last year.
Looking back over the past three years female participation has fluctuated, so it is hard to establish a clear trend.
