Shooting participation overview
12,900 women take part in shooting at least once every four weeks, making it the 30th most popular participation sport for women.
Just 2% of women who take part in shooting are from a BME background, compared with 11% in the general population.
The sport has one of the largest gender differences of all Sport England funded sports – there is one woman for every ten men.
