Baroness Grey-Thompson DBE (Commission Chair)

 

Baroness Tanni is Britain’s best-known Paralympic athlete, having performed at every distance from 100m to the marathon. She won 16 Paralympic medals including 11 golds, and has won the London Marathon 6 times. She was awarded third place in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2000, and has become BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year three times.

Baroness Tanni is a member of the Laureus World Sports Academy and is currently leading the UK Athletics’ review of its anti-doping policy. As Chair of the Commission, Baroness Tanni will oversee the work of the Commission to ensure it makes far-reaching changes to women’s sport
