We are the only organisation in the UK
dedicated to increasing participation rates in sport and physical activity amongst women and girls. For 29 years we've been helping, persuading and inspiring
towards our vision of a fitter, healthier and happier nation of active women and girls; we've made some great strides, but we've still got a long way to go.
The story of WSFF; an organisation brought to life in a London office by a handful of people desperate for change, and which has developed into a charity supported by some of the country's most high profile people from the worlds of sport and business, is one which gives us great pride, but which would be incomplete without the accompanying story of the progression of women's sport.
Our publication 'Celebrating Silver, Going for Gold'
published in 2008 gives an overview of WSFF and 25 years of the charities history - presented in a way which we hope fulfils two objectives; firstly, to explain who we are, where we came from and where we are heading and secondly, to give you goose bumps and get you excited about our objective to create a fitter, happier nation of women and girls
